About

Introduction:

ITC Accounting & Tax Consultancy is delighted to invite you to an insightful webinar event in partnership with the E-Commerce Tax Unit at Egyptian Tax Authority (ETA). This webinar aims to provide an understanding of VAT obligations and compliance for non-resident vendors providing digital or remote services in Egypt. This is in reference to the recent updates from the Egyptian Tax Authority regarding Value-Added Tax (VAT) Law No. 3 for the year 2022 and its Executive Regulation, in accordance with Minister of Finance Decree No. 24 for the year 2023.

Event Overview:

The webinar will cover essential topics related to VAT Guidelines for Non-Resident Vendors Providing Digital or Remote Services to Egyptian Consumers. These guidelines, mandatory from June 22, 2023, under Minister of Finance Decree No.160 for the year 2023, encompass VAT obligations for non-resident vendors offering digital content, online gaming, applications, software, website design, and various professional services.

Event Agenda:
  • VAT Obligations for Non-Resident Vendors: Exploring the requirement for non-resident vendors to collect and declare VAT on their monthly tax return.
  • B2B and B2C Supplies:
  • Understanding the reverse charge scheme for B2B supplies by resident taxpayers.
  • Analyzing VAT obligations for B2C supplies based on service delivery through the non-resident vendor’s portal or an Electronic Distribution Platform (EDP).
  • Simplified Registration Regime: Insight into the simplified registration process available for non-resident vendors on the ETA website.
  • Penalties for Non-Compliance: Highlighting potential penalties for non-compliance, including risk reviews, liability assessments, and potential market access restrictions.
  • Q&A Session: Addressing Challenges and Queries Faced by Non-Resident Vendors.

We strongly encourage non-resident vendors providing services in Egypt to review the guidelines carefully to ensure compliance.

We look forward to your participation.
